Mitko Ukoeski is a filigree artist who cultivates the craft in the shop of the one and only Vangel Dereban in Ohrid. The filigree tradition of two centuries of master Dereban's family is kept alive today by five masters in the heart of the Ohrid bazaar. Master Dereban's shop is now a museum of filigree, a workshop and soon a school. The most famous products are the Ohrid butterfly, the fisheklia bracelet and Galician buttons. The only artisan workshop that is authorized for the promotion and sale of the protected Macedonian ruby trademark.
